Did I ever tell you about the time I gave up my Hollywood career and started a CANNABIS and CBD HEMP company?
Like the original WILFRED short film, it all started as a joke. I was in my office writing yet another pilot script for a Hollywood studio that would never be made, and to break the monotony I made a joke post for my social media followers promoting ‘Wilfred’s Weed Delivery Service!” Well the response was overwhelming. I was chasing a dream I could have never imagined possible. It was terrifying and exhilarating.
My favorite part of building the business in our first year were the in-store appearances where I would promote the brand and meet the fans AS WILFRED. It was the first time I actually got to meet the people who had made the tv show such a success.
It’s hard to describe the joy in the eyes of these grown adults as they hugged a smelly Australian man in a crusty old dog suit. It was like they were tapping into their childhoods, but from an adult “let’s smoke a blunt together” perspective.
